| Activities
In addition to outstanding trophy hunting, Klawerberg also provides other activities.
Photography
The scenery and wildlife on Klawerberg provides ample opportunity for
taking truly amazing photographs. Telephoto lenses or zoom lenses are
essential for taking good wildlife photos. Klawerberg has plenty of
hides close to waterholes where one can patiently wait for the animals.
Chuck Stage and his father watched a cheetah drinking water for 4 minutes
and was able to video tape it.
Paul and Sharon Kossmann were so fortunate. They had been watching
a cheetah and her 3 cubs from 15:00-18:00 feeding on her prey at a
hide across a waterhole. Of course their meal had once again been a
gold medal springbok!

We provide game drives customized for your needs. You will be able to see the wildlife up close whilst we provide you with some
interesting facts about the habitat, ecology and the animals. Leopard and cheetah sightings are becoming more and more frequent.

Hiking
There are plenty of interesting hiking trails available on Klawerberg.
Who knows you might even spot a Cheetah.
Bird Watching
Klawerberg is a bird watcher’s paradise. Notwithstanding the fact that
Namibia is a dry country, we have a huge
variety of birds. It seems as if the birds feel they must compensate with vivid coloring.
Bird photography is challenging. I love the fact that you need to be aware not only of their movements,
but also of your own. You need to be aware of your actions to control the situation. This year I tried
to match the sound and the bird, most satisfying.
The different kinds of birds found throughout the country are as diverse as the Namibian landscape itself. It's difficult to choose a favourite, but I especially like the colourful ones, like the lilac breasted roller, the scarlet breasted shrike, the bokmakierie and the sunbirds.
Lisa Tipper still holds the record with 95 species within a week.

We offer sightseeing and short Safaris by a Qualified Safari Operator.
Sometimes non-hunting observers make use of this opportunity.
We also offer to arrange self drive tours to destinations where some of the big five can be seen,
as part of the hunt package.
Klawerberg is an hour's drive from Namibia's capital, Windhoek, where several shopping centres
and curio shops can be found. We can organize shopping and/or sightseeing trips to Windhoek for you.
Windhoek - A Historically Modern City
Tree-lined Independence Avenue with its street vendors and walkways provides a pleasant ambience of
tranquility and leisure at the heart of the city, which is considerably enhanced by stately historic
buildings in the German style at the turn of the century. Imposing modern buildings in the central
business district echo the historical forms, shapes and colors of this architectural heritage. Three
German-style castles designed by architect Willi Sander in the early 1900's add a distinct romantic
touch.
Shopping In Windhoek
Windhoek's specialties include elegantly designed fur coats and jackets, the most striking being locally produced Nakara with its effect of rippled silk. Distinctive jewelry ranges from classic to contemporary designs using local or imported gemstones, or designed for individual tastes by local goldsmiths. Especially popular is individually designed hand woven carpets and wall hangings made from karakul wool.
