GAME
Twenty species of game occur in abundance, including the Kudu, Oryx, Zebra, Blesbok, Hartebeest, Springbok, Warthog, Eland and Wildebeest. Oryx (Gemsbok), which Namibia is famous for, are exceptional. We still have the big ones for you. Numerous smaller game species and a wealth of bird life can be observed.

HUNTING TERRAIN
The 20,000 acre Klawerberg ranch is a short distance by road from Hosea Kutako International Airport near the capital of Windhoek. The ranch is part of the 450 000 acre Dordabis Conservancy. This huge area, with excellent hunting opportunities, is available for our hunters. The terrain is savannah with grass and acacia trees, and is surrounded by mountains.

HUNTING SEASON
The official hunting season is from February to November which enables hunters to schedule their hunt in the time frame that fit their individual program best.

RIFLES AND AMMUNITION
- a 30 caliber or larger is recommended
- 80 rounds of ammo per hunter are allowed to enter Namibia
- no semi-automatic rifles are allowed. For muzzle loaders - see the NAPHA website
- use soft nose ammunition
- for information about rifle imports please refer to our General Information page.

BOW HUNTING
We do bow hunting and the facilities are available. Hunters often combine bow hunting with a rifle hunt.

PROFESSIONAL HUNTER
Klawerberg is owned and operated by Master Hunting Guide, Jan Visser. Hunters will have the opportunity to harvest excellent trophies and every effort will be made to accommodate each hunter's need.Klawerberg also offers the services of two fully qualified, experienced NAPHA registered Hunting Guides. They are fulltime employees of Klawerberg and know the hunting areas, habitat, and the distribution of animals. This is a unique situation. Hunts are conducted on a fair chase, 1x1 basis.
